Jaeden’s room before MK Kids Interiors blessed it:
Jaeden is a brilliant two year old who just loves numbers… and cars.
His room needed to be a child’s room, a room that will inspire and encourage his learning.
Jaeden’s mummy & daddy wanted a calm/ neutral colour and a numbers and car theme incorporated, they also wanted space for Jaeden’s sleepovers. Stay tuned to see what we did for Jaeden.
During the installation, Jaeden got a sneak peek at the hexagonal storage units from Homage we put up for him. Pointing at them he exclaimed with excitement ‘square’, I told him it was a hexagon, a few days later he saw a similar shape, pointed at the item and said ‘hexagon’. It’s fulfilling to know that my work is making a positive impact on children. That’s why I do what I do as an interior designer for kids: to enhance their learning.
The project is now complete. The first time we installed the numbers supplied by Sticky Tiger randomly on the wall. Jaeden’s mummy wanted him to be able to touch the numbers, we soon realised this wasn’t such a good idea, as he removed them all, except the numbers out of reach and the 0. His parents said he cried because zero couldn’t come off the wall. We up-cycled the chest of drawers and the wardrobe, to work with our neutral scheme, they are no longer an eye sore.
