MK Kids Interiors designed a bedroom for a girl

Sharelle was diagnosed with Craniopharyngioma  in 2012 at the age of 9. Childhood Craniopharyngiomas are rare tumours usually found near the pituitary gland (a pea sized organ at the bottom of the brain that controls other glands) and the hypothalamus ( a small cone-shaped organ connected to the pituitary gland by nerves). Sharelle is the second child of three. Due to this tumor, she has gained weight, her body temperature fluctuated, she gets tired quickly and her mood varies. The family traveled to Florida from London for special treatment.

This was a stressful time for the family.

as you can imagine. In total Sharelle has had 7 operations to date.

MK Kids Interiors volunteered to do something special for Sharelle. We collaborated with Sharelle’s parents to create a sanctuary for Sharelle; a bedroom where she can retreat, relax and be the princess she is.

Relles Room

Sharelle loves her bedroom. She says “I feel satisfied, thankful, and happy”.

At MK Kids Interiors our aim is to make children happy regardless of life’s circumstances.
